That is why the memristor is only 3x faster than DRAM and expected to have an unlimited bandwidth, but it is clearly not ready yet.
What about RAM?
This is a very good technology that has been used for many years. It requires some of the following: It has a higher cost than dimms but in some cases, it can still be profitable. This depends on the need for speed and reliability of the system as a whole in question. For example, if you are designing a gaming computer or even a server you should use DDR-RAM because there are no alternatives because they provide tremendous advantages over SSDs on these types of devices.
