Many people throughout history have believed that we are living in the last days, and they were right. The Bible predicted these times when it said: “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers…” (2 Timothy 3:1-4).
WHAT JESUS SAID?
Jesus prophesied about these end time events as well when He warned His disciples to take heed because many false prophets would rise up and deceive many with signs and wonders (Matthew 24:4-5). The world today is full of self-loving people who live for their own desires rather than to please God. There is no shortage of those who love money, who boast and brag about themselves, or those who make a show of their religion. Jesus warned us that the end is near because many false prophets would arise to lead people astray with signs and wonders.
Many Christians believe we are living in the last days due to what’s happening in our world today: self-loving people who live for selfish desires rather than pleasing God; no shortage of proud boasters or those making a show out of their own spirituality. The Bible predicted these times when it said “in the last days perilous times will come” (i.e., Matthew 24:21) ‐and Christ Himself prophesied as well by warning His disciples about how fake teachers would.
